On October 16, 2023, 19 artists dropped off 48 works of art to Eden Hall on the SOCC campus A reception on October 26, 2023 was held by the Art Director, James Fritz, where he put together a very nice spread of snacks and punch. The reception was well attended by BAAAA members, SOCC staff and art students. Everyone had a great time and it was fun to mingle with the students.
Those members who came to pick up their artwork on Friday at Eden Hall the17th were surprised to find the gallery filled with a wonderful display of ceramics. Students and long-time potters at the college are having their annual sale and they were delighted to see our artwork on the gallery walls. They were dismayed that we were taking down the paintings and really wanted the artwork to stay in place. So, after many frantic calls to BAAA members, some who were already on their way to the college, most agreed to leave their work in the gallery. Thank you all. This is a mutually beneficial arrangement, since the ceramicists are willing to sell our artwork also.
